IAM Local 2734 is entering an important election period, and we are calling on members to step forward and participate in the democratic process that strengthens our Union.
Shop Stewards are the backbone of IAM 2734. They are the first line of representation on the floor — supporting members, enforcing the Collective Agreement, upholding safety, and ensuring that every member’s voice is heard and respected. As our Local continues to grow across multiple employers and operations, strong, committed Steward representation is more important than ever.
Nominations and elections will be conducted in accordance with the IAM Constitution and Local 2734 Bylaws. Members in good standing are encouraged to nominate qualified colleagues who demonstrate fairness, integrity, and a willingness to stand up for others.
This election is not just about filling positions — it is about continuing to build a strong, unified Local that protects our work, our standards, and our future. Whether you choose to nominate a fellow member, put your own name forward, or participate by voting, your involvement matters.
