– Bulletin No. 7 –<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NOTICE OF OFFICER NOMINATIONS AND ELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n IAM Local 2734 will be accepting nominations and conducting an election for the following Local officer positions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n NOMINATIONS MEETING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nominations will be held during the regular Local 2734 meeting in November 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Date:<\/strong> Tuesday, November 17, 2026 Nominations will be accepted only from members in good standing of IAM Local 2734. A member who is nominated but cannot attend the nomination meeting must provide written acceptance of the nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To be eligible for nomination for a Local officer position, a member must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The eligibility requirements are subject to the IAM Constitution and the Local 2734 Bylaws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NOMINATION DEADLINE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n All written nomination must be received no later than:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Monday, November 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM (MST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nominations and acceptances must be emailed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Recording Secretary:<\/strong> Mujtaba Zaidi To:<\/strong> Msyed@iamaw2734.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n President:<\/strong> Francis Odgers CC:<\/strong> FOdgers@iamaw2734.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n TERM OF OFFICE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The newly elected officers will begin their terms of office on January 1, 2027. Each elected officer will serve a three-year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n OFFICER ELECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The election of Local 2734 officers will be held during the regular Local meeting in December 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Election Date:<\/strong> Tuesday, December 15, 2026 Voting will be conducted by secret ballot. Polls will remain open during the regular meeting and will close when the meeting is adjourned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Only members in good standing will be permitted to vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each member in good standing will be entitled to one vote. The election will be conducted in accordance with the IAM Constitution, the Local 2734 Bylaws, and the applicable IAM election procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ABSENTEE BALLOTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Qualified members who cannot vote in person may request an absentee ballot from the Recording Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A written request for an absentee ballot must be received no later than 21 days before the election for members in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A member may qualify for an absentee ballot if the member:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Absentee ballot requests must be submitted in writing to the Recording Secretary. Ballots will be issued only after the member’s eligibility has been verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Completed absentee ballots must be returned by official government mail or inperson and must be received before the polls close on election day.
