Calgary is WestJet\u2019s home base and largest hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ATS already proudly serves the WestJet brand in 19 cities across the United States and Canada, including an existing GSE maintenance operation in Calgary. With the addition of this ground handling agreement, ATS is building a new focused team dedicated to support the WestJet operation in YYC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be awarded this contract and are committed to making the WestJet ramp in Calgary one of the best operations in our network,\u201d said Sally Leible, ATS President and CEO. \u201cWestJet has played a vital role in our history, and we are proud to still be growing our partnership more than 20 years later.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;For more than two decades ATS has provided safe, dedicated and caring service to millions of WestJet guests across our network,\u201d said Robert Antoniuk, WestJet Vice-President, Airports. \u201cDue to this long-standing relationship we know ATS is aligned with our culture and commitment to \u2018safety above all\u2019; these were the principle reasons we selected the company as our ground service partner for our largest hub. We are pleased that this arrangement will create opportunities for our current team members and more than 100 interviews have already been set up for WestJetters interested in transitioning to the ATS team.
